Organisations
There are many good reasons why organisations choose to publish a book, and each school, company, club, society etc will have quite specific requirements. We have worked with a broad range of different organisations, tailoring the design to suit their particular needs and budgets. In the majority of cases a book is produced to mark an anniversary or event, which is a reason in itself, but below are some thoughts on how the books may be used once you have the finished product.
Each project is bespoke, however, so usually the best way to start the ball rolling is to talk to us here first.

Sales and fundraising
Most organisations hope to re-coup at least some of their investment by selling copies of the finished book. Often there is good access to a ‘target market’ or group to whom you can sell the books directly, such as members, alumni, employees etc. In this case, you will need to have a good idea of the likely number of people who will actually buy your book – someone expressing polite interest may not necessarily follow through with a purchase. We can discuss your particular project with you and suggest ways in which you can make a realistic prediction as to the number of books you might sell, as well as offering plenty of advice on how best to sell to your market.
It is also important to consider whether the book would have an appeal outside of immediate target markets, and if you need assistance in bringing the book to a wider audience, we can advise you as to the best way to do this.
Marketing and promotional tools
A beautifully produced commemorative history is an excellent way to celebrate and showcase your organisation’s achievements, longevity and prestige. Whether for employees, pupils, members or shareholders, commemorative books are a wonderful and permanent way to engender a sense of pride and belonging. But books also make superb corporate gifts and can, for example, be presented to current and potential clients, used in membership drives, or given to key people in the organisation. People are invariably very pleased to buy or receive books, and we ensure that all those that we produce are of the best quality in every sense – page design, look and feel.
